Summer Sun (2003) by Yo La Tengo
To Yo La Tengo, being an indie rock band doesn’t necessarily means to have your entire album composed by dirty guitars and harsh drumming, it also means provide a complete and serene atmosphere for some of the time.One of the things that I like about every album by Yo La Tengo is that they try to keep it very balanced, including as much as they can, sad songs, happy songs, fast rockers, weird and experimental soundscapes, weird lyrics or just simple ones all, all of these while maintaining the style untouched.
Much of the music is made to take us to our own special little place, and this one certainly does that all the time I give it a listen.
